For our recent condo renovation, we chose the Color Flooring team and we couldn't be happier with the results. They completely updated our flooring, replacing old hardwood and carpet with gorgeous wide plank oak throughout the entire home. I have been using Color Flooring for flooring projects for over 20 years now. They carpeted my office on Duke Street, my sunroom on Washington Road, a duplex I owned on Farmington Road, and even my motorhome (!!) and did a great job at a great price.
The sign of an honest merchant is when they suggest things that do not profit them. For example, on Farmington Road, when we bought the property, there was newer carpet that was all wrinkled up. I was going to replace it but Color Flooring said they could re-stretch it and remove the wrinkles, which he did and it looked great. A lesser merchant would have simply sold me new carpeting. Years later, when the carpet DID need to be replaced (tenant with a dog) he did the whole house for a very reasonable amount.
We have a condo in Alexandria and the parquet flooring was looking sad. I asked Color Flooring for a quote on carpeting the place and their reaction was "what's wrong with parquet flooring?" Again, a lesser merchant would have immediately tried to upsell me. But we decided to carpet and they just completed (today) the job, in less than four hours and it looks great and was very, very reasonable.

I had Color Flooring do a total reno my 1980s-era kitchen in 2019. They did a great job, and the price was reasonable (that was pre-inflation of course!). It was a big job, total gut to the bare walls and subfloor, plus some plumbing work to replace an original cast iron drain pipe that was very clogged, and a little work in basement bathroom. Color Flooring came and measured everything carefully and gave a detailed design and estimate, and worked with me on changes. They have a lot of samples in their storefront to chose from for cabinets, pulls, tile, flooring, countertops. The owner comes frequently to check at all key points. They have a good large crew, handling carpentry, cabinets, plumbing, electrical, tiling, flooring and painting. They had counter specialists in to measure and later install the quartz countertops. In July 2023 I had a couple of the ceiling can lights burn out and they came right away and replaced all four of them. Would use them again.
